A bill has been referred to the committee and sponsored by Sen. Sessions.
Sen. Sessions is very anti-amnesty, and looks like he is pushing a bill for the legal immigrants-in-waiting. We do not yet know the contents of the bill, but hopefully by later this week, the text of the bill would be available in the library of congress.
I think given the current political environment we can get the senators and house representatives to vote in its favor.
Lets see what the actual contents of the bill are tomorrow/day-after.

If your H1B approved as a part of change of status from L1, Your current status will be H1B (You can check that on new I94) from the date H1B starts. In this case, You lost your L1 status and you need to start working with H1B employer. You need to take advice from your H1B Lawyer.

My Receipt date for 485 is july 27th 2007 and nebraska is processing applications for this date.
I applied for cross chargeability on 10th March.. Any idea how long before my case is approved? My lawyer has confirmed that its possible and he claims that it should take 4-8 weeks. I wanted to check to see what the experience of people has been so far?

I would call the 1-800-375-5283 number and ask them what to do. They should be able to change it over the phone.

Thanks for posting the link. It clears up a lot of questions and doubts members were having regarding disciplines which fall under STEM.
